Spring Shoe Styles
It seems as though Spring has finally arrived! Buuuuut living where I do, it is pretty typical that winter throws us one last curveball after we get a taste of Spring. That being said, I am not ready to pack away all things winter just yet; but I have pulled out a lot of Spring. One of my favourite things, being: shoes!
I thought I would share some of favourite shoes for the Spring and how I style them.
A low cut bootie is perfect for Spring weather. You can wear them with pants, shorts or a dress.
If you like the look of a lower cut bootie but want something more dressy, you can go with something with a heel – a shootie. I actually picked up these red ones at the Payless liquidation sale a couple of weeks ago. Oh how I will miss that store! Since they are closing all locations, I couldn’t link them for you but I linked a similar style.
One of my favourite styles to wear are mules. You just have to becareful when choosing a mule because they can be a bit of a pain to wear. You definitely can’t wear them for long distance walking because you will end up with a foot cramp on the top of your foot (speaking from experience). You want to choose one that comes as far back to the top of your ankle as possible to ensure your foot doesn’t slide out of it too much while walking; otherwise, you guessed it: foot cramp.
I don’t think I have to say too much about flats. If you can find a comfortable pair, you will want to live in them the entire season. In my IG stories a couple of weeks ago I shared the Steve Madden dupes I scored at Walmart on clearance, for $5. I linked another pair of dupes for you here, that are still more affordable than the Steve Madden ones.
Sneakers are a must for me in the Spring. I like to have a few style options to choose from. The classic lightweight sneaker is perfect for long walks or working out at home. I like ones that weigh next to nothing – but that is just my personal preference.
I like a pair of canvas sneakers to wear with a pair of jeans or even a casual dress. Old Navy has them in a ton of colour options and they are comfortable.
I also have a pair of faux leather sneakers for that in between look. Still casual but a little more dressy than the average sneaker. Just make sure they are comfortable. If you are going to purchase a pair of causal sneakers, you want to be able to get some wear out of them.
Lastly I love a cute pair of peep toe booties. It’s not quite warm enough here for these, but as soon as it is I will be throwing them on with my favourite pair of white denim pants. These you can wear both casual or dressy.
That’s my Spring shoe round-up. I hope this gives you some inspiration the next time you’re looking for a new pair or while shopping your closet!
