January 12 marked one year of pink & blue.

I had this post prepared for that day but things with my Baba went south quickly and I just couldn’t finish and post it. My heart wasn’t in it. She ended up passing away on the 13th and I decided to hold off.

I am so happy with the first year of pink & blue. I have met so many amazing people, both virtually and in person; and it has opened so many new doors for me.

At the one year mark I also hit 1,000 followers on Instagram which is well beyond what I expected in the first year (if I’m being honest). I am not a full-time blogger or influencer – I work full time outside of the home and have two kids, and do what I can, when I can.

I have learned a lot about myself on this journey and have learned a lot about the online community. There are some amazing people out there and some some not so-amazing people. It’s easy to get caught up in the negativity, but I have learned how to shake things off. 

I am excited for what’s to come this year for pink & blue and  have some fun things and collaborations in store for all of you.
