Best Buttercream Recipe
I have been using this buttercream recipe for years and it’s always a hit! I usually make some epic cupcakes for my kids birthday parties, my record is 70 (for Everly’s 2nd birthday). I thought I would share the recipe just in time for some Valentine’s Day treats.
1 cup salted butter
4 cups icing sugar, sifted
1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
1-3 tbsp table cream
1. Using an electric mixer, beat butter with a paddle beater on medium speed for approximately 3 minutes.
2. Add sifted icing sugar and stir on low speed until well combined.
3. Add pure vanilla extract and cream. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes, scrape sides and continue beating for an additional minute until light and fluffy.
(The amount of cream you add depends on what you would like the consistency to be. If you want a thinner buttercream, add more cream.)
**If you would like a white buttercream, use clear vanilla extract**
Pipe your cupcakes/ice your cake and enjoy!
