Valentine’s Day is fast approaching which often means people are struggling for last minute gift ideas.
I thought it might be fun to share a couple of gift guides over the next week to help spark some inspiration in you.
When I was little, my Mom always bought my sisters and I something for Valentine’s Day. We would come downstairs in the morning and there would be a card for each of us on the kitchen table along with some chocolate and a small trinket. I always looked forward to this, even more so than the Valentine’s Day celebrations at school.
I have kept this tradition going with my kids. You don’t need to go overboard, just a few small things to spark some excitement.
I picked up a few things for the kids on my lunch today and thought I would share them with you.
I found these adorable little burlap bags and knew they had to come home with me. They were $2.50 each, and I will definitely be reusing them in the years to come.
How cute are they?
Keep it simple and don’t go crazy. I typically stick to a a couple of sweet treats, a small toy or stuffie and a book.
Dollar stores are a great place to shop for Valentine’s Day. The books I picked up at Costco – but their price of books is always a great deal. I picked them up a few weeks ago and planned on saving them for Easter but Maxton’s ability to read has blown my mind lately, so I decided on Valentine’s Day instead.
Just a few things for the little sweethearts in your life.
